The open-source Eigent alternative a whole team owns
Kortix is the open-source AI Operating System, the Eigent alternative for teams that need a platform rather than one desktop app. Your agents, skills, company memory and every connector live in one git repo you own, and each session runs on its own cloud computer.

Questions buyers ask before moving off Eigent
Is Kortix free to self-host?
Yes. Self-host is free, and you run Kortix on Kortix Cloud, in your VPC, or on your own on-prem network. Agent sessions run on a separate sandbox provider, and a self-hosted instance uses your own model key.
Can a whole team use Kortix where Eigent is one desktop app?
Kortix is built for teams. An account holds projects and people, per-resource permissions cover people and agents, and every session runs its own sandbox on its own branch. People reach the same workforce from the web, Slack, Microsoft Teams, the CLI or the API.
Does Kortix support the models I already pay for?
Any model provider with your own keys. Or the ChatGPT plan you already pay for. Or sign in with your OpenCode Console account for OpenCode Zen and Go.
What happens to an agent's work in Kortix?
Session work reaches main through a change request a person reads as a diff. Merge is default-deny for agents, so nothing lands unreviewed. Approval gates you set decide which tool calls wait for a person.
